Product Description

Pearl pigment is a kind of inorganic pigment that can express beautiful luster and elegant color possessed by pearl, shell, butterfly, swimming fish and metal in the nature. It's a sandwich lamella composed of natural mica covered with TiO2 and Fe2O3 outside. It's basic material is small mica wafer and its surface cladding is metal oxide of high refraction index, such as TiO2, ZrO2, ect. Various interference colors will be obtained along with the different thickness of cladding layer. Pearl pigment has many different products according to the color and size. Pearlescent Pigment is able to bear acid, alkali and temperature to 800C; It has the characteristics such as no spontaneous combustion, no combustion-supporting, no electric conduction and no arcing; Good stability of light; Some products are able to bear ultraviolet radiation, suiting used in the open air; It is innocuous to human, can be used for the pack material of food (Stipulating by the rules of the counties). It can be widely applied in paint industry, plastic industry, paper industry, printing ink industry, cosmetic and rubber and so on.

Non-toxicity
Pearlescent pigments are non-toxic. They are suitable for use in food packaging and children's toys.
Heat Resistance
Pearlescent pigments deliver excellent thermal stability and can withstand processing temperatures up to 800º C.
Dispersibility
Pearlescent pigments are supplied as free flowing powders. They are readily dispersible with low shear mixing.
Mechanical stability
Pearlescent pigments are mechanically stable when incorporated into vehicles using conventional low shear mixing. To prevent excessive fragmentation of the pigment platelets high shear equipment, such as ball or pebble mills should be avoided.
Chemical stability
Pearlescent pigments are chemically stable in organic solvents, diluted acids and bases.
Conductivity
Pearlescent pigments in powder form are non-conductive.
Light Resistance /Durability
Pearlescent pigments have very good light stability.
And Weather resistance series is available for exterior application.
